Preamble
It's a few days before I leave for the start of what I hope will be a big adventure for me. I have wanted to walk The Camino de Santiago for a number of years now and the stars have aligned this half term by, ironically having an offset half term with the rest of my family. I fly to Biarritz on the 27th October and then travel to St Jean Pied de Port at the foot of the north end of the Pyrenees to start. I hope to walk the whole Pilgrimage (500 miles - que singing) over the course of tge next few weeks, doing a week or perhaps two every couple of years or so. Old man's knees permitting of course. Travel blogging is new to me, so this might be a bit rough and ready I am afraid. Enjoy.... Buen Camino!
